Movie Juri

Arisugawa Juri has become the head of the Student Council, and is the one in charge. However, she has her secrets and her past that are quite important in making some of the characters who they are.

Juri is the "Prince" of Ohtori Academy. She's strong, suave, beautiful, and clearly in command. She's captain of the fencing club and oversees many things. Wakaba tells Utena that Juri is likely to be her rival because the two are so similar.

However, Juri has her own secrets. She wears a pendant around her neck, and in it is a picture of Shiori. Shiori tells Touga that when Juri is alone she takes the picture out and looks at it. However, little else is made of the locket. Another of her secrets is that she was the girl who fell off the boat, the one who Touga rescued. This is the reason why Shiori hates Juri so much. However, Juri does not seem to be greatly influenced or bothered by that incident, and never mentions it.

Juri is a duelist because, as she reveals to Miki when they are in the garage, she wants the power to get rid of all the things which bind her. She is not interested in the Rose Bride, and in fact hates Anthy because of what she represents. However, Shiori shows up and asks Juri to defeat Utena for her, holding tight to Juri's arm, making Miki wonder just what are the things that bind Juri.

Juri is the second person to duel Utena. She's motivated to duel because Shiori wishes her to, and because she doesn't think Utena should be a duelist. When the two are fighting, Juri allows herself to be pushed back at first, but after some time she chuckles and presses her own attack, quickly overwhelming Utena's defense. She easily knocks the sword out of Utena's hand and then tells her that the rose signet doesn't become her, that Utena is trying to hard to be a prince, and asks if she is doing this all for Touga. Had Utena not transformed into Dios, the outcome of the duel would likely have been different... but Utena did transform into Dios, knocking the orange rose off and defeating Juri.

Juri appears along with the other student council members near the end. She's the one driving the Wakaba car that rescues the Utena car in the tunnel. She tells Anthy that she's going to need to keep her high ideals in the outside world and that friends will follow from that. She then guides the Wakaba car off to an exit that presumably leads back to the world of Ohtori Academy.
